Carl Johnson is the Vice President of the Defense and VA Non-Health Group at ASM Research, with responsibility for all Veterans Administration, Defense Service Component and Defense Agency non-health programs supported by the company. He also supports the implementation of learning management systems across multiple federal agencies.
The largest program in Carl’s portfolio is the Army’s Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS). ATRRS is the Army’s enterprise institutional training management system, authoritative data source for the Army Program for Individual Training (ARPRINT) and system of record for personnel input to training. The functional proponent for the system is the G-1 Training Requirements Division (DAPE-MPT).
Prior to joining ASM in 2015, Carl was an active duty officer, retiring as a Colonel with over 32 years of active duty service. His military decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), and the Bronze Star Medal.
Carl earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Master of Science in human resource management, a Master of Science in national military resources and strategy, and a Master of Arts in military operations.
