ASM to Develop Pilot Universal Immunization Tracking System Fairfax, VA – October 2, 2009 ASM is pleased to announce that we have been selected as the prime contractor for the Universal Immunization Tracking Application (UITS) for the Air Force Surgeon General (AF/SG). This contract win solidifies ASM as a leading provider of Health Solutions, and displays a capable presence amongst some of the larger IT Solutions companies. ASM’s ability to be flexible and responsive to our customers' needs, our record of experience, and our teammate’s expertise poised us for this contract win. Since the first Gulf War, effective immunization tracking and management has been a growing issue for the military. The Air Force Surgeon General recognized that ASM, a long time provider of proven healthcare solutions, is the ideal choice for handling the challenge of development of an advanced and innovative system. The Universal Immunization Tracking System (UITS) will be a pilot program developed using a Virtual System Development (VSD) environment. The UITS will correctly account for all of the immunizations that our service members have received regardless of where they received them and the VSD will allow us to successfully execute system and software development in a distributed, multi-dimensional, and collaborative environment. “As we deliver a successful system, we will solve a decade old problem of sharing data and collecting the appropriate immunization data between the services. UITS ultimately benefits the service members and their families by ensuring appropriate immunization for their health-care needs”, said Senior Vice President/General Manager, ASM Research, Inc., George Nebeling. “We are committed to supporting the AFSG and the Military Health System and know that this program will lead to extraordinary results”, said Vice President, Frosty Price.
